《各位平安，我們接著來看詩篇119篇的第21節。從這裡，我們可以感受到詩人進入了一個比較黑暗的處境——他開始描述自己遭遇逼迫、誣賴、羞辱，甚至被人妄論與藐視。
這其實非常貼近我們真實的人生經歷。人生在世，我們都會遇到一些不公平的評論、誤解、甚至無故的攻擊。通常在這種時候，我們的第一反應是什麼？——「我要找人幫忙」、「我要討回公道」、「我要解釋清楚」對吧？
但詩人在這裡選擇了另一條路。他在第24節說：
「你的法度是我所喜樂的，是我的謀士。」
這句話太美了！他不是去找人開會、請律師、發聲明，而是先回到神的話語中，讓神的話成為他的謀士，成為他做決定的依據和安慰的來源。
他不是逃避現實，而是把自己投進神話語的真實裡，因為他知道：真正懂我們、真正能幫助我們的，是那位創造我們、又賜下智慧話語的神。
接下來的幾節也很感人。他說：
「我的性命幾乎歸於塵土，求你照你的話將我救活。」（v.25）
在他靈裡幾乎乾枯、人生幾乎崩潰的時候，他不是說「神啊，給我一個機會」，他是說：「求你用你的話，把我救活。」
這句話讓我很有感觸——不是環境改變人才活過來，而是神的話語讓靈魂甦醒。
他接著又禱告說（v.29）：「求你使我離開奸詐的道，開恩將你的律法賜給我。」
這也是一個我們日常會遇到的掙扎。有時候，在困難的環境裡，會有人用「世界的智慧」來教你怎麼生存，比如說：
「這社會本來就是黑暗的，別太天真。」
「人家對你奸詐，你就要更奸詐回去。」
「人不為己，天誅地滅。」
這些話可能來自看起來「很有經驗」的人，甚至是出於好意。但如果這些不是根植在神的話語中，那你用來運行人生的「作業系統」就會有漏洞。
聖經其實早就說過這些事。
箴言22:5：「奸詐人的路上，有荊棘和網羅。」
箴言13:15：「美好的聰明使人蒙恩；奸詐人的道路崎嶇難行。」
這就是選擇的差別：
上帝的道，也許一開始不好走，但會越走越順，越走越有盼望。
奸詐人的道，也許一開始看起來聰明有用，但走著走著只會越來越難。
所以，親愛的弟兄姊妹，不要急著用世界的方式解決屬靈的問題。當困難來的時候，不要先找人，先找神；不是先反應，而是先安靜；不是去討公道，而是問主的道。
讓神的話成為我們的謀士，祂必帶我們走出死蔭的幽谷，走進光明的道路。
我們繼續來看詩篇119篇的第34節，詩人這樣禱告：
「求你賜我悟性，我便遵守你的律法，且要一心遵守。」英文是：“Give me understanding [a teachable heart and the ability to learn], that I may keep Your law and observe it with all my heart.”
這裡的 “understanding” 不只是知識層面的理解，而是一種受教的心、一個願意學習、願意被引導的靈。這裡教導我們：要真正明白神的話語，需要兩個條件——一是願意學，二是能夠學。
但很多時候我們會看到兩種情況：
有些人能學卻不想學，因為心剛硬、不願意被改變；
有些人想學卻學不起來，因為沒有依靠神，沒有用禱告把心交給祂。
但感謝主，當我們向神求，祂就賜下這兩樣都需要的能力。你可能覺得自己讀聖經總是看不懂，但只要你繼續禱告、繼續願意學習，神會開你的眼睛，讓你一天比一天更明白祂的道。
再來我們看第36節這個很實際的禱告：
「求你使我的心趨向你的法度，不趨向非義之財。」
這句話點出了一個現實的靈魂考驗——金錢的誘惑。在現代社會，我們每天都在面對選擇：我能不能在賺錢這件事上手潔心清？我能不能憑著正當、誠實、合法的方式賺得資產，而不是靠詭詐、走偏門、搞灰色地帶？
如果今天你可以坦然無懼地說：「我的每一塊錢都來自正道，我可以放心享用，問心無愧。」那我替你開心，因為你走在正路上。
但如果我們一談到財務就退避三舍，或是內心不安，那我們真的要問自己：我們是否願意羨慕神的話語，勝過世界的財寶？我們是否願意遠離非義之財？
最後我們來到第41–42節：
「耶和華啊，願你照你的話向僕人施慈愛，使我有話回答那羞辱我的，因我倚靠你的話。」
人生中，我們都曾經面對羞辱，可能來自批評、嘲笑、不公平的評價。在那個時候，你會想找「靠山」。有些人找人脈，有些人找組織，有些人找影響力。
但詩人在這裡說得很清楚：真正能讓我們站立得住的，不是人給的話語，而是神給的話語。
當我們倚靠神的話，我們就有話可說，甚至能在羞辱面前站穩腳步。詩篇在第46節也說：「我也要在君王面前論說你的法度，並不至於羞愧。」
你看，當我們心中充滿神的話語，不只是讓我們生活平安，更能使我們在挑戰與壓力之中不羞愧、能回答、能見證。51節說到驕傲的人侮慢我，我卻未曾偏離你的律法，53節說 我見惡人離棄你的律法，就怒氣發作，猶如火燒。當你了解到上帝話語的可貴，你就更能感受到惡人離棄律法是可惡的一件事情。因為他們並不是 “不知道” 律法，而是 “故意“ 離棄律法。這種明知故犯的行為，比愚昧無知的犯罪更為可惡。擁有這樣的心智的人，更是因為看到律法被屏棄而感到一種義怒。這就是上帝的怒氣 – 公義的怒氣。
54節點到一個關於人生的重要觀點：我在世寄居。英文版本說的是 In the house of my pilgrimage. 在我朝聖旅途路上的房子裡。這個說法真的是太美了，保羅也說，我們的身體是在世界上的 “帳篷” （林後4:6）所以今生不是我們的永居之處。今生的事情暫時，而今生能做最重要的事情是為永生做預備，就是遵守上帝的律法。
今天的屬靈反思：
求主給我們悟性與受教的心，讓我們能夠明白祂的道；
求主幫助我們遠離非義之財，讓我們在財務中也能敬畏祂；
更重要的是，讓我們在羞辱與攻擊面前，不是急著反擊，而是先倚靠祂的話語，有智慧、有能力地回應。

Psalm 119: Turning to God's Word in Adversity
Greetings, everyone. Let's continue with Psalm 119, starting from verse 21. Here, we can sense that the psalmist has entered a darker phase—he begins to describe his experience of persecution, false accusations, humiliation, and being slandered and despised.
This is something we can all relate to. In life, we often face unfair criticism, misunderstandings, or even unjust attacks. And in such times, what is our usual reaction?
— “I need to find someone to help me,” “I want justice,” “I need to explain myself,” right?
But the psalmist chooses a different path. In verse 24, he says:“Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors.”
What a beautiful statement! He doesn’t seek a meeting, a lawyer, or a press release. He turns first to God’s Word and lets it be his counselor—his guide in decision-making and source of comfort.
He isn’t avoiding reality; he is anchoring himself in divine truth, because he knows the One who truly understands and helps us is the One who created us and gave us His wise word.
The next few verses are just as moving. He says:“My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to Your word.” (v.25)
When his spirit is dried up and his life is falling apart, he doesn’t say, “God, give me a chance.” He says, “Revive me with Your Word.”
This resonates deeply with me—it’s not the change in circumstance that brings us back to life, it’s the Word of God that revives our soul.
In verse 29, he prays:“Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law.”
This reflects a daily struggle we all face. In challenging environments, some people offer “worldly wisdom” to teach us how to survive:
“This world is dark—don’t be naive.”
“If someone deceives you, out-deceive them.”
“If you don’t look out for yourself, no one else will.”
These sayings may come from experienced people, maybe even with good intentions. But if they’re not grounded in God’s Word, then your life’s “operating system” will have bugs.
Scripture has already warned us:
Proverbs 22:5 – “In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls.”
Proverbs 13:15 – “Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard.”
This is the contrast of choice:
God’s way may start hard but gets smoother and more hopeful over time.
The deceitful way may seem smart at first but becomes increasingly difficult.
So, dear brothers and sisters, don’t be quick to use worldly methods to solve spiritual problems. When difficulties arise, don’t run to people—run to God. Don’t react first—be still. Don’t seek justice from the world—seek direction from the Lord.
Let God’s Word be your counselor. He will lead you out of the valley of the shadow of death and onto the path of light.
Verse 34:“Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.”The English version adds, “a teachable heart and the ability to learn.”
This “understanding” is more than intellectual—it’s a spirit of humility and teachability. To truly understand God’s Word, we need two things:
A heart willing to learn
The ability to be taught
We often see two types of people:
Those who can learn but don’t want to, because their hearts are hard
Those who want to learn but struggle, because they lack reliance on God
But praise God—when we ask, He gives both. You may feel like the Bible is difficult to understand. But if you keep praying and stay willing, God will open your eyes day by day.
Verse 36:“Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.”
This is a real and practical soul test: the temptation of money.
In today’s world, we constantly face choices:
Can I earn a living with clean hands and a pure heart?
Can I acquire wealth honestly, legally, and righteously—not by deception, shortcuts, or moral compromise?
If today you can confidently say, “Every dollar I have comes from integrity,” I rejoice with you. That means you’re walking on the right path.
But if conversations about finances make you uneasy or evasive, then you must ask: Do I value God’s Word more than worldly riches? Am I willing to reject unjust gain?
Verses 41–42:“May your unfailing love come to me, Lord, your salvation, according to your promise; then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
We’ve all faced shame—criticism, ridicule, unfair judgments. And when that happens, our instinct is to look for backup—connections, organizations, influence.
But the psalmist makes it clear: What really lets us stand tall isn’t human support, but divine truth.
When we trust God’s Word, we have answers. We can stand firm in the face of humiliation.Verse 46 says:“I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame.”
When your heart is filled with God’s Word, it gives you not only peace in daily life but strength to witness in trials.
Verse 51 says, “The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from your law.”Verse 53 says, “Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.”
Once you grasp the value of God’s Word, you begin to feel a righteous anger when it is deliberately rejected—not just ignored out of ignorance, but knowingly abandoned. That’s the anger of God—a righteous indignation.
Verse 54 brings a deep insight about life:“Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.”In English: “In the house of my pilgrimage.”
This phrase is beautiful. Paul also said our body is like a tent in this world (2 Corinthians 5:1). This life is not our permanent home. This life is temporary, and the most important thing we can do is prepare for eternity—by obeying God's law.
Spiritual Reflection for Today:
Ask God to give us understanding and a teachable heart, so we can comprehend His ways
Ask Him to help us turn from unjust gain, so we honor Him even in financial matters
Most importantly, when we face shame or attacks, let us respond not with defensiveness, but by leaning into His Word—with wisdom and confidence
