我們接下來要讀的是《路加福音》第四章。這一段經文非常重要，因此，我想特別將它分開來講解。本次我們先專注於上半段，而下半段將在另一集繼續分享。
今天，我們要特別來看耶穌人生中的一件大事——祂受到魔鬼的試探。
這件事情發生在耶穌受洗之後，祂得到了聖靈的充滿。接著，聖靈將祂引到曠野，在那裡四十天中受到魔鬼的試探。
如果我們回顧《舊約》，特別是在《申命記》第九章第九節，我們會發現另一個人也有類似的經歷——摩西。當時，摩西上到西奈山接受上帝的啟示，領受十誡的律法。那時候，摩西也是四十天不吃不喝，雖然沒有受到魔鬼的試探，但這段經歷仍與耶穌的曠野試探相互呼應。
魔鬼所使用的三個試探，就是人性的最大需求和渴望：肉體的需求，權力的渴望，以及滿足自身的私心。
首先來看肉體的需求。
當我們讀到耶穌四十天不吃不喝的時候，許多人會從科學的角度質疑，認為這是不可能的，耶穌應該早就餓死或渴死了。然而，當聖靈的能力充滿祂時，這件事成為了一個神蹟，是我們無法完全理解的。但聖經記載，在四十天結束後，「日子滿了，祂就餓了。」這讓我們看到，耶穌雖然是神的兒子，仍然經歷了人性的限制與飢餓的感受。
魔鬼是一個極其狡詐的對手，他非常清楚此刻的耶穌正處於肉體最虛弱、心靈最疲憊的狀態。因此，他選擇在這個時機，使出最厲害的手段來試探耶穌。注意，當我們在身體或心靈軟弱的時候，也是最容易受到魔鬼攻擊的時候。
我們來看看這三個試探。事實上，這三個試探不僅僅是針對耶穌個人，還涉及更廣泛的層面。它們不只是耶穌所面對的挑戰，也是我們每一天都會遇到的試探，甚至關乎教會整體的試煉。因此，我們先從個人的角度來探討這三個試探。
首先，魔鬼用食物來試探耶穌。此時的耶穌又餓又渴，正處於極度飢餓的狀態，因此魔鬼對祂說：「你若是神的兒子，可以吩咐這些石頭變成食物。」
這個試探的本質涉及肉體的需求，讓耶穌把食物看得比上帝更優先。魔鬼說：「現在你的肉體飢餓，不如先滿足自己吧！你有能力變出食物，何不這麼做呢？」換句話說，這是關於物質需求的試探，是金錢與物質的誘惑。
這正是魔鬼最常使用、也最直接的手段——以金錢和物質來控制我們，利用肉體的欲望來操弄我們。而這種試探，對大多數人來說，都是最容易陷入的。當商店大打折扣，我們就會受到消費的衝動影響，導致債台高築；當美食擺在眼前，我們就會受到食慾的誘惑，導致健康受損；我們容易貪吃、貪杯，貪戀這世界的一切享樂。魔鬼還有一個更厲害的技倆：這件事情本身是合理的。耶穌四十天不吃不喝，現在很餓，變出一點麵包有什麼問題嗎？這個目的不是正確的嗎？的確是，吃喝是必須，但耶穌展現的意思是，他必須要按照天父的意思來做事情，他正在順服聖靈的引導，所以他表達出了完全順服的態度。
所以，耶穌的回答是：「人活著，不是單靠食物，乃是靠神口裡所出的一切話。」祂並沒有說「人不需要食物」，因為我們確實需要吃喝，肉體的需求是重要的。但耶穌強調的是，我們活著，更需要靠神的話語，這才是我們真正的屬靈糧食。我們每日與神的互動、我們從聖經中領受的話語，才是支撐我們生命的關鍵。
第一個試探結束，第二個試探來了。
接下來，魔鬼帶耶穌到一座高山，將天下萬國的榮華指給祂看，並對祂說：「這一切權柄和榮耀我都要給你，只要你敬拜我。」
這第二個試探，是人最渴望的：權力。在人生中，許多人所追求的不外乎這兩樣：有錢，可以購買一切物質需求；有權，可以號令眾人。這兩者一直是人類歷史中最重要的追求。而這時候，魔鬼對耶穌說：「只要你拜我一下，這一切都是你的。」
這也是我們每天受到的誘惑：只要妥協一下，你就可以坐上領導位置。只要稍微動點手腳，你就可以擁有權力。只要你多開一點政治支票，你就可以拿到更多選票讓你當選。說點小謊言不算什麼，為了贏得權利妥協一下又怎麼樣呢？
這不只是發生在外面的世界，在教會之中，為了追求令人景仰的領導位置，人又何嘗不是盡其所能去施展手段，甚至不惜向原則妥協 – 敬拜一下魔鬼呢？
耶穌的回答是：「當拜主—你的神，單要侍奉祂。」在這一刻，耶穌給我們人生重要的指引。這是一個價值觀的問題——你的內心真正認為最重要的事物是什麼，你就會為了它付出你的一切。如果金錢是你的最高價值，你就會為了錢不擇手段；如果權力是你的終極目標，你就會不惜一切代價去爭奪。然而，耶穌在這裡所教導的是，若我們將任何事物置於神之上，最終必然會為此付上生命的代價，而這樣的結局就是失去真正的生命。因為唯有神，才配得我們獻上生命去敬拜祂。
第二個試探結束，最後試探來了。
最後，魔鬼對耶穌的試探，是以祂的身分來挑戰祂。他對耶穌說：你若是上帝的兒子，從殿頂跳下去吧。上帝會保護你的。
這裡的試探，揭示了一個極大的危險——試探上帝。什麼是「試探上帝」呢？就是用一種情緒勒索的方式，要求上帝照我們的意思行事。你買了張樂透彩票，跟上帝禱告：主啊，你說凡你兒女所求的你必定賜予，那我求你給我中頭獎！你沒有好好讀書，臨到考試了說主啊，求你幫助我考試順利，做首不做尾！你沒有禱告就自己開始了一些事工，然後說主啊，這是你的事工，你必定成就！
你未曾尋求上帝的旨意，就冒然行事，然後用祂的話語情緒勒索上帝。這樣的態度，本質上是在試探神，把祂當成滿足我們慾望的工具，而非敬拜與順服的對象。魔鬼的試探就是這樣 —— 這是一種極端的信仰觀念，將神的應許當作任意妄為的保證，忽略了順服與敬畏的重要性。
然而，耶穌沒有上當，祂知道真正的信仰並不是試探神，而是信靠並順服神的旨意。
最後，魔鬼用盡了一切試探，並沒有就此永遠離開耶穌，而是「暫時」離開，等待機會再度攻擊。這提醒我們，屬靈的爭戰並不是一勞永逸的，而是持續不斷的。魔鬼或許暫時退卻，但他還是躲在暗處，伺機而動。
這段經文，對今天的教會也有重要的教訓。
食物可以是在教會中重要的連結的事物，一起吃飯是信徒中美好的一件事情。但來到教會不能夠只是滿足人的口腹之慾，不能夠只是滿足人的外在需求，信徒的生活需求不該變成教會的責任。我們應當盡可能彼此幫助，但不應該成為彼此的負擔。
教會最重要的工作是：分享上帝口裡所出的一切話，是人能夠得真正的生命。
第二：耶穌關於領袖的教訓是，你們誰要做頭，就必作眾人的僕人。他身為上帝的兒子，他來到世間不是享受榮華富貴，反倒是經歷一切苦楚，卑微到底，為要成為眾人的僕人。沒有什麼東西值得你用對上帝的信仰去教會。教會該清楚分享的事情就是，凡事想要做領袖的，就要有預備受苦的心，不是被眾人仰望，號令眾人，反而是謙卑自己，去盡心盡力服事眾人，成為僕人一般的樣子。
教會領袖最重要的工作是：成為僕人的榜樣，成為服事人的人而不是被服事的人。
第三：我們不可情緒勒索上帝。他是愛我們的天父，必定看顧我們的需要，也必是我們隨時的幫助。但記得耶穌教導我們的禱告：你們要先求他的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了。(太6:33)
先禱告尋求，並且順服上帝。耶穌用祂的生命歷程教導我們這一個原則。
今日的屬靈反思：我每天是否也有受到試探？當我受到試探的時候，我是否也能夠用上帝的話語去應對這些試探？

We are about to read Luke, Chapter 4. This passage is very important, so I want to divide it into sections for discussion. In this session, we will focus on the first half, and the second half will be shared in another session.
Today, we will look at a significant event in Jesus’ life—His temptation by the devil.
This event took place after Jesus was baptized, and He received the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Then, the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness, where He was tempted by the devil for forty days.
If we look back at the Old Testament, particularly in Deuteronomy 9:9, we will find that another person had a similar experience—Moses. At that time, Moses went up Mount Sinai to receive God’s revelation and the Ten Commandments. During that time, Moses also fasted for forty days and forty nights. Although he was not tempted by the devil, this experience still echoes Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness.
The three temptations used by the devil are directly related to the greatest human needs and desires:
Physical needs
The desire for power
Selfish ambition
First Temptation: Physical Needs
When we read that Jesus fasted for forty days without eating or drinking, many people question this from a scientific perspective, believing that it would be impossible, and that Jesus would have died from hunger or thirst. However, when He was filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, this became a miracle beyond our full understanding. But the Bible records that after forty days, “He was hungry.”
This shows us that although Jesus is the Son of God, He still experienced human limitations and the feeling of hunger.
The devil is a very cunning opponent. He knew that at this moment, Jesus was at His weakest physical and mental state. So, he took this opportunity to use his strongest temptation against Jesus.
Notice that when we are physically or spiritually weak, we are also at the most vulnerable moment for Satan's attacks.
Let's look at these three temptations. In fact, these temptations were not only directed at Jesus personally, but also apply on a broader level. They are not just challenges that Jesus faced, but are also the temptations we face every day, and they even concern the entire church.
So, let's first examine these temptations from a personal perspective.
First, the devil used food to tempt Jesus.
At that moment, Jesus was extremely hungry, in a state of severe starvation. The devil said to Him:“If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.”
What was the essence of this temptation?
It was related to physical needs. The devil tried to convince Jesus that food was more important than God.
The devil’s suggestion was:“You are starving! Why not just satisfy yourself first? You have the power to turn stones into bread—why not do it?”
In simpler terms, this is about material needs, or even about money.
This is one of Satan’s most commonly used and direct methods—controlling us through money and material things, using our bodily desires to manipulate us. And this is something that most people easily fall into.
When stores offer big discounts, we are tempted by consumerism, leading to overspending and debt.
When we see delicious food, we are tempted by our appetite, making it hard to control our diet and health.
We are easily greedy for food and drink, and sometimes we even indulge in everything the world offers.
Satan’s most powerful deception is that his temptations seem reasonable.
Jesus had been fasting for forty days. Now He was starving. Would turning stones into bread really be a problem? Isn’t eating a normal, necessary thing? Yes, eating and drinking are essential.
But Jesus showed that He must act according to the will of the Father. He was submitting to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating a complete attitude of obedience.
Thus, Jesus answered:“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
He did not say that humans do not need food, because we do need to eat and drink.
But what Jesus emphasized was:We need God’s Word even more.
This is our spiritual food. Our daily interaction with God, our nourishment from the Bible, is the true source of life.
The first temptation ends, and the second temptation begins.
Second Temptation: The Desire for Power
Next, the devil led Jesus to a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and said:“I will give you all their authority and splendor if you worship me.”
This second temptation is about power.
At this moment, Satan placed power and wealth before Jesus, saying:“Just worship me once, and all this will be yours.”
This is the same temptation we face daily:
Compromise a little, and you can be promoted.
Bend the truth slightly, and you can gain influence.
Use manipulation, and you can win elections or gain power.
But Jesus answered:“Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.”
At this moment, Jesus set everything aside, recognizing that only God deserves worship.
The second temptation ends, and the final one begins.
Third Temptation: Testing God
Satan said:“If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here. God will send His angels to protect you.” This is testing God.
What does it mean to test God?
It means using emotional manipulation to force God to act according to our wishes.
Satan was tempting Jesus in the same way:“You are God’s Son—He will protect you! Just jump!”
But Jesus answered:“Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” True faith means trusting and obeying God, rather than forcing Him to act. Finally, the devil finished his temptations, but only temporarily. The Bible says:“The devil left Him until an opportune time.”
This reminds us that spiritual battles never end. We must always remain vigilant, relying on God’s Word to resist temptation.
Lessons for the Church Today
The Church’s mission is to share God’s Word—it is the source of true life.
A true leader serves others—a leader must be prepared to suffer, not seek glory.
Do not emotionally manipulate God—pray first, seek His will, and submit to Him.

When faced with temptation, do I rely on God’s Word to resist it?
