Dear brothers and sisters,Peace be with you. Today our reading progress takes us to Psalm 102, verses 12 through 28.

Yesterday, we read about someone who continually cried out to God in distress. Starting from verse 12, we see a shift in this person's mindset as they begin to turn their focus towards glorifying and praising God. Right from the start, it mentions, "But you, LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations." They mention Zion, which God has built, showing compassion in the time of need. They believe that God hears the prayers of people and does not disregard their pleas. All of this is to be recorded, so that all people will praise the LORD. God will look down from heaven and listen to the groans of the captives, to release those destined for death.

In Hebrews 1:10-12, we find a prophecy regarding the Messiah, which is also a part of Psalm 102.

"In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end."

This passage is quoted in Hebrews, confirming the divinity of Jesus Christ. It indicates that Jesus is not merely a human, but the Son of God, sent to redeem the sins of humanity and be the Savior of all nations.

This reminds us that in Christ, we find an eternal and unchanging hope, for His years will never end, and His promises remain steadfast. Let us trust Him wholeheartedly, for He is our Redeemer and eternal Master.

In many of the Psalms, we find shadows of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. The words written by the psalmists deeply resonate with us because they too experienced the hardships of life. They vividly describe the despair, loneliness, sorrow, and disappointment that each of us may face. Yet, we always see God's mercy, continually hearing our cries.

Therefore, when we face difficulties, may we take the time to quiet our hearts and read the Psalms. Starting from the beginning, let us listen to the dialogue with God recorded within, which will comfort our souls.

Thank you for listening. Tomorrow we will officially begin the Gospel of Mark, where we can continuously read about the stories of Jesus.
